Actors Act!!!
|
 |
How often do you hear actors say ‘I don’t work for free’? As in any
profession, actors must demonstrate that they are capable of performing
a job BEFORE anyone will hire them – just as lawyers must pass the bar,
doctors must complete internships, and accountants must be certified. |
|

Unlike Law,
Medicine, and Accounting, there are no standardized requirements
for actors. We must simply DO IT until we become recognized for our
proficiency, and by doing it, we will become better and better at it..
Working is what we
can do to let people know how good we are. If it pays, that's great.
If it doesn't, then consider it a free class. After all, would you
rather be in a project acting or waiting by the phone? Performing is
the ‘fun part’ of the three ‘P’s’. It helps you grow and validates your
efforts. |

|
Remember:
If no one is hiring
you, then you might need to reevaluate your ‘previous two ‘P’s’. |
