Valerie Toth Grant - Bio

Valerie earned a degree in Music and Theatre from the prestigious, Indiana University, in Bloomington, Indiana. After attaining teaching certification and Master credits in Music at Towson State College in Baltimore, she headed for New York City.

She continued studying in voice, dance and acting in New York, while her vocal abilities earned her a solid reputation for the leading ingénue roles both in New York and around the country. She has performed in over 100 musical and opera productions.

While performing in New York, Valerie received high acclaim from The New York Times and The Daily News for her operatic roles. After years of success on stage, Valerie headed west to explore the Film and Television markets. It was in Los Angeles that she met Ken Grant, who not only was to become her husband, but also her partner in the thriving acting school, KVG Studios, in Orlando, Florida.

Valerie has also performed in numerous soap operas in New York and Los Angeles including: “The Bold and the Beautiful”, “The Young and the Restless”, “Another World”, “Search For Tomorrow”, “As The World Turns”, and “The Guiding Light”. In addition to her performances on soap operas, Valerie’s interest in the technical and writing aspects of the entertainment industry, have led her to create and write her own soap opera, “Southern Obsessions”, as well as several sitcoms and two books.

Upon arrival in Florida, Valerie performed frequently on local shows such as: “Welcome Freshman”, “Keenan and Kel”, “The Mickey Mouse Club”, “Superboy”, “Kid’s Korner”, and numerous commercials and industrials. Her latest film, “Ready, Willing and Able” won the Fort Lauderdale Film Festival award for best independent film.

As owners of KVG Studios in Orlando, Valerie and Ken continue to teach and create projects. The techniques taught at KVG have generated a strong talent pool in the Central Florida area that rivals that of the major entertainment markets. Valerie currently sits on the National Council for Actors’ Equity Association and is a Tony voter.
